I walked away to the kitchen and a moment of silence later I peeked around to see her happily nibbling away at the apple bread. There were a few quite “mmm’s” coming from her so I slipped away before she spotted me. As I suspected, no one (not ever stubborn toddlers) can resist this moist and delicious apple bread!
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup whole milk sour cream
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups peeled and diced apples
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter and line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper, set aside.
- In an electric mixer, cream butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat until combined, scraping down sides of the bowl.
